Consequent to the reform in power sector in Odisha, Odisha Hydro Power Corporation Ltd. (OHPC) was incorporated in 21 st April 1995 under the companies Act 1956. Its objective are:
To acquire, establish, operate, maintain, renovate, modernize in the State of Odisha and
else while hydro electric generating stations, thermal and nuclear electric generating stations and any other electric generating stations based on any non-conventional sources of energy.
To carry on the business of purchasing, selling, importing, exporting, producing, trading, manufacturing or otherwise dealing in hydro electric power, thermal and nuclear electric power based on any non-conventional sources of energy.
OHPC Signs MoU with Dept. of Energy, Govt. of Odisha for the FY 2013-14
Odisha Hydro Power Corporation Ltd. has signed Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for the
FY 2013-14 with the Department of Energy, Govt. of Odisha on 14th May 2013. Sri Sahadev Khatua,
Managing Director, OHPC signed the MoU with Sri Sangramjit Nayak, Joint Secy., Dept. of Energy,
Govt. of Odisha in presence of Sri P.K.Jena IAS, Commissioner-cum-Secy, Department of Energy,
Govt. of Odisha Directors of OHPC and senior officials of Dept. of Energy. See more..
OHPC OBSERVES WORLD ENVIRONMENT DAY-2013
The World Environment Day-2013 was observed at OHPC through a series of
events at OHPC Corporate Office, Bhubaneswar and all Units on 5th June 2013. On the
occasion, a plantation programme was organised at OHPC Training Centre wherein MD,
all Directors & Unit Heads planted saplings of Debadaru & Gua plant.. See more..
