OHPC PAYS INTERIM DIVIDEND OF RUPEES THIRTY CRORES TO GOVT. OF ODISHA.

Odisha Hydro Power Corporation Ltd.(OHPC), a Gold Rated PSU of Odisha, has paid an interim dividend of Rs.30.00 Crores for the Financial Year 2019-20 to the Govt. of Odisha on 31.07.2020. The Cheque was handed over to the Chief Secretary of Odisha, Sri Asit Kumar Tripathy by Sri Bishnupada Sethi, Chairman-Cum-Managing Director, OHPC, in presence of Sri Pravakar Mohanty, Director (Finance) , OHPC Ltd. The Board of Directors of OHPC in their meeting held on 16.07.2020, basing on the provisional accounts for 2019-20, have decided to pay an interim dividend of Rs. 30.00 Cr to the Govt. The balance amount shall be paid after finalization of the Accounts for FY- 2019-20. Last Year, OHPC had paid an amount of Rs. 31,57,88729/- as dividend to the State Government. The Post Tax Profit (Provisional) of OHPC during the FY 2019-20 is about Rs. 134.05 Crores, whereas in the last year i.e. 2018-19 the Post tax profit was Rs.105.26 Crores. During the FY 2019-20, the Corporation has earned Rs. 471.24 Crores by selling 5878.35 Million Units of Energy whereas in last year i.e. 2018-19, OHPC had earned Rs.478.83 Crores by selling 5897.18 Million Units of Energy. OHPC has been paying dividend to the Govt. regularly since last several years. As a responsive Corporate house of the State, OHPC has also extended its CSR support to the Govt. for managing two COVID Hospitals-viz: One at Gajapati District and the other at Balasore District with 112 and 120 Beds respectively.
