OHPC WINS THE 10TH KALINGA SAFETY EXCELLENCE AWARD-2018.

Upper Kolab Hydro Electricity project, Bariniput of OHPC has received the 10th Kalinga Safety Excellence Award- 2018 (Gold Winner) instituted by “Institute of Quality and Environmental Management Services”. The award was received by Sri Manoranjan Biswal, Unit Head, UKHEP, Bariniput during the award ceremony held on 22nd November, 2019 at Bhubaneswar. The objective of the Kalinga Safety Excellence Award is to recognize the outstanding contributions made by an organization covered under the various Acts & Rules and related to Safety, Health & Environment Practices. OHPC participated in the Large Scale category of the 10th Kalinga Safety Excellence Award- 2018. Considering the outstanding Safety, Health & Environment (SHE) practices of Upper Kolab Hydro Electric Project (UKHEP) the selection committee of Odisha state Safety Conclave- 2019 conferred UKHEP with the prestigious award. SHE Practices at OHPC: OHPC recognizes and accepts its statutory and moral responsibility for implementing safety standards and maintaining a safe and healthy working environment at its power stations for all its employees to ensure safe working conditions in Operation & Maintenance of Power Station & Switch Yard equipment.
